The Cape May Swimmer GO BACK

Bronze
Edition of 25
8-3/4" H x 4-1/2" W
$895

Along the New Jersey coast at the southern most tip, you'll find the quaint old Victorian Shore Community of Cape May, with its stately old Victorian clapboard homes and pristine sandy beaches. And for as long as anyone can remember there has been the Cape May Swimmer. Nobody really knows much about her, but you can always find her swimming in the surf at Higby's Beach early in the morning, just as the sun is beginning to cast its reflection upon the choppy waters. Occasionally she walks up and down the beach in front of the Nuns' old summer retreat wearing her yellowed, old bathing cap that contrasts with her wrinkled, leathery tanned skin. They believe her name is Edith, but nobody ever refers to her as that; she's just the Cape May Swimmer.
